The earth is fine
We are surrounded by people, walking around all day long, every minute of the day, worried about everything. Worried about the air, worried about the water, worried about the land, we’ve even got one in our own classroom, Betty, a vegetarian, trying to save the animals. Weve got people worried baout pesticides, food attitves, chemicals, worried about asbestos, worried about oil leaks, gas emissions, fossil fuels. Worried about global warming and trying to save the planet. Saving the planet? Jesus
We don’t even know how to take care of ourselves yet! The planet is fine. We are so self-important these days, so self-absorbed. We’ll do anything for our own benefit. I’m so tired of that shit, trying to save the damn planet? I’m sick of it. I’m sick of earth day, I’m sick of egotistical environmentalists, I’m sick of scientists thinking they know how to help our planet? rying to stop global warming because apparently, the earth is dying?
Global warming. Literally a gradual increase in the overall temperature of our planet. In the Earth’s history, Earth’s climate changed due to natural causes, not human-related activity. So why is it different today? Because big-headed scientists told us so? We don’t actually know if the science is real. It’s too hard to understand! Have you ever read a single piece of pure scientific evidence, not articles online, not a statement in the newspaper or a video with maybe fake facts, just pure scientific evidence, and understood it? It’s just too complex. Many people and even scientists have admitted that the science behind global warming is too difficult for people to understand.
Besides, there is nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine. The people, the people are fucked. The difference is, apart from the people, the planet is doing great! Its been here around four and a half billion years. Think about that for a moment, our world has been around for four and a half billion years, and we’ve been here what, 200,000? And we’ve only engaged in heavy industry in say, less than 200 years. 200,000 years versus over 4 billion. Earth has been through a lot worse than us. 200 million years ago earths forces shaped continents! Once all the land was together. India was connected to Antarctica!
Earth literally moved huge amounts of land to the countries were in now. And Its been through much more, such as earthquakes, volcanoes, plate tectonics, continental drift, solar flares, sunspots, hundreds of thousands of years of bombardment by comets and asteroids and meteors, worldwide floods, tsunami’s, erosion, reoccurring ice ages, and we think that some plastic bags are going to make a difference? The planet isn’t going anywhere, we are! It will still be here and we will be long gone. Just another biological mistake.
You want to know if earths doing okay? Go and ask the people of Mexico City or a hundred other places, ask the people who have been buried in thousands of tonnes of earthquake rubble, if they feel like a threat to the planet. Or how about the people in Hawaii, who build their homes on an active volcanoe and wonder why they have lava in their living room.
You see, even the population of polar bears have skyrocketed! There are more polar bears now than there have been in years. So if there was ‘global warming’ wouldn’t the ice sheets melt meaning seals don’t have anywhere to come up to rest or breed, resulting in minimal food for the bears? So how can the population of polar bears be increasing?
The temperature is constantly rising and falling. In 1997 the world had one of the coldest years ever. Last year we had the biggest dump and it even reached our town! People ask us, does it ever snow down here? No not really, we say. But, we have all personally experienced this. So you cant tell me after the event last year, that global warming is killing our planet. The planet is fine.
We’re so arrogant to think we are on this earth to control and save it. When in fact we are the equivalent of rats scurrying about breeding and consuming recourses. Unlike the swan that has glided through millions of years since us rats were born. And will continue to glide through millions of years on after the rats die, and pick itself back up where it let off.
I take my lead from the great leader of the free world. He says climate change is fake news. You don’t get to be president if you are not correct about the most important ideas in our world. He does say some pretty questionable things but, what he says is common sense, if we arent able to understand the science behind climate change how are we supposed know whats real and whats fake? Trump doesnt want to lose millions and millions of jobs over something that we cant fully understand, and he makes a valid point. Because the planet is fine and will definitely last longer than we will.
